Our Mission
The growth of the Kingdom of God within and outside of our own congregation shall be the focus of this mission team. Riverside Church is active in supporting missions on a local, national and foreign level.
Mission Team 2008—2009
To this end, we prayerfully select international, national, local, and Riverside missions to support. Some of the missions focused on are part of the Reformed Church of America, and some are not. We receive literally hundreds of requests for money. Rather than giving nickels and dimes to all of them, we concentrate on making a difference with a few. These few provide a wide variety of opportunities for missions involvement by all parts of our church ministry.
International Missions – RCA missionaries in India and Africa.
USA Missions – Jackson County Ministries with the RCA through share support and mission trips.
Local Missions – Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People – financial and volunteer support, and material donations.
Church Missions – provide assistance to Riverside'rs who are going on a variety of mission trips (student and adult).
We suggest to other Riverside teams ways to involve themselves with these missions so that our contributions as a church go beyond the monetary and remain focused.
